Transparency in lobbying

ECCO International Communications Network  appears in the Austrian magazine Wirtschaftsblatt. Sara Render (K+R), Christian Kollman (communication matters), and Marco Di Benedetto (Policy Action) expressed their views on lobbying and transparency.

Marco di Bennedetto highlighted the importance of being a registerd lobbyist in Brussels because it facilitates the access to information.

The EU now plans to publish all written correspondence on the internet; this may cause a lot of work but is important to boost transparency, says Christian Kollmann.

Sara Render remarks that outside of Europe, many multinationals behave in ways that they would never dare to behave within Europe.
