Three member agencies of ECCO have had their campaigns recognised in the 2008 International Business Awards "the Stevies".
Kinross + Render (ECCO UK), Marco de Comunicacion (ECCO Spain) and On Board PR (ECCO Poland) were three of the twelve finalists in the Best Communication Campaign Europe category, chosen from 1700 applications from organisations and individuals in more than 30 countries. Presentations will be made at the Gala Awards ceremony in Dublin on September 8th.

2008 Sabre Awards - Venice
ECCO is pleased to announce that two of its member agencies, MdC in Spain and On Board Public Relations in Poland ,were winners at the 2008 Sabre Awards in Venice. MdC won the category best PR campaign in the EMEA for travel and tourism for their campaign for the Madeira Tourist Board. On Board won in the Pulic Affairs category for their campaign to raise minimum wages. Two further ECCO agencies were nominated, Wellcom our French partner and K+R our UK partner but they did not win.

Hungarian students win traineeship with ECCO partner ST Scope in Budapest.
A competition organised by Bex Communicatie, the ECCO partner for the Netherlands for second year communication students was won by a Hungarian group who will now be offered an internship with the ECCO Hungarian partner ST Scope. The group devised a creative concept for the Dutch Dropshot liquor.
16 April 2008 - New Brazilian member joins ECCO - CSK Comunicacao
We are pleased to announce that ECCO has a new member for Brazil. CSK Comunicaco based in Sao Paulo are an independent communications boutique which service all sectors including technology, tourism, health and finance. More details of the agency will be posted later in the month.
Our next ECCO conference will take place on Wednesday 25th June. This is so that ECCO members can take advantage of the annual CIPR conference which is taking place at the Hotel Intercontinental in London on the 23rd and 24th June. ECCO and their UK partner Kinross + Render will be sponsoring a cocktail party on the evening of the 23rd at the CIPR. ECCO will also be providing a speaker at this event.

PRGS - ECCO Berlin and Deutsche Kinderhilfe held their New Year's reception on the 24th January together with about 400 visitors among them many members of the German Parliament. The reception was also atteneded by the German Health Minister, Ulla Schmidt.
